Privacy Policy (WearWise)

1. Introduction

WearWise (“we”, “our”, “us”) and AlgoFusion Labs LLP respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your data in compliance with applicable laws including the Information Technology Act (India) and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use the WearWise mobile application.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Images of clothing, shoes, and accessories only
• User preferences (e.g., “wear this”, exclusions, style choices)
• Google profile information and email address (for account creation and session management)

Strict Rule

You must NOT upload:

• Any image containing a human (yourself, others, children, etc.)
• Any personal photos or identifiable individuals

We do not intend to collect biometric or personal identity data.

2.2 Automatically Collected Data

• Location (for weather and temperature recommendations)
• Device and usage logs (for app performance monitoring)

2.3 What We DO NOT Collect

• Sensitive personal data (e.g., biometric data, facial recognition)
• Financial information (handled by platform providers like Google Play)

2.4 Account Information (Google OAuth)

If you sign in using Google OAuth, we collect:

• Your Google account email address
• Your display name (if provided by Google)

This information is used only for:

• Account identification
• User session management

We do NOT share this information with OpenAI or any third-party AI providers.

Users may revoke Google OAuth access at any time via their Google account settings.

WearWise’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. How We Use Data

• Generate outfit recommendations using AI
• Analyze weather-based styling suggestions
• Improve app performance and reliability

4. AI Processing (OpenAI Integration)

We use OpenAI APIs for generating recommendations.

We only send:

• Metadata (color, category, tags, temperature, preferences)

We DO NOT send:

• Uploaded images
• Personal identity data
• User email or name

We do NOT train any custom AI models using your data. Only non-personal metadata (such as clothing tags, colors, preferences, and weather context) is sent for generating recommendations.

5. Data Storage & Security

• Uploaded images are stored in Replit infrastructure
• Security depends on Replit’s cloud security measures

We implement reasonable safeguards, but no system is 100% secure.

6. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell or share your data.

Limited sharing occurs only with:

• OpenAI (for AI recommendations — metadata only)
• Infrastructure providers (Replit)

7. User Responsibilities

If you share content from WearWise to:

• Instagram
• Social media platforms

You are solely responsible for:

• Accuracy
• Compliance with platform policies

8. Data Retention

• Images remain until deleted by user
• Logs retained for system monitoring
• Deleted images are permanently removed (no recovery)

9. Your Rights (GDPR + India)

• Access your data
• Delete your data (via app or future delete account feature)
• Restrict processing (where applicable)

10. Account & Data Deletion

Currently:

• Users can delete images individually

Upcoming:

• Full account deletion feature (planned)

11. Children’s Privacy

• App is NOT intended for children under 13
• We do not knowingly collect children’s data

12. Changes to Policy

We may update this policy. Continued use implies acceptance.
